REFLEXIONES SOBRE LA ACTUACION

Hola a todos:

He recibido muchos emails pidiendo en español algunos de los articulos que escribir durante el 2012 en Ingles. 

Aprovecho y empiezo con este que leeran a continuation.  Me parece que el mensaje es muy imortante! 

Empieza el 2013  y es hora de abordarlo con toda nuestras energias! 

Somos todos  "ORIGINALES" y "UNICOS"!  Solo compartimos "similitudes " con el resto de la humanidad:  ejemplos
1) Color de pelo
2) Color de ojos
3) Color de piel
4) Nombres
5) Altura
6) Gustos por la moda
7) Gustos por la comida
8) Gustos por los autos, etc........

PERO NO EXISTE OTRA PERSONA IGUAL A VOS EN EL PLANETA!

Somos como nuestras huellas digitales: UNICOS!

Eso es lo que ustedes tienen para ofrecerle al mundo. Su originalidad. Cuando se presentan a un casting lo que los va a distinguir de los demas es que se muestren tal cual son.  Ustedes se conocen lo sufficiente como para saber que es lo que los hace únicos? 

Preguntense lo siguiente:

1) Que ve la gente cuando entro a una habitation?
2) Que me hace brillar?
3) En que moments es donde me siento mas autentica? Como se siente? Como me veo?
4) Que me hace inolvidable?

Estas son algunas de las preguntas que tendrian que poder responder. Si ustedes se conocen, podran distinguirse de los otros que comporten "SIMILITUDES" con vos.

CONFIAR:. Una palabra muy importante. Tienen que confiar en ustedes. Si no lo hacen ustedes,  creanme los demas no lo harán tampoco!

ESTEN PREPARADOS:  Tienen que ester preparados para el tipo de vida que quieren tener. Hay una frase maravillosa que dice:

LA SUERTE ES:  CUANDO LA PREPARACION SE ENCUENTRA CON LA OPORTUNIDAD.

Tomen clases y desarrollen su talento. Estudien, observen, lean, miren peliculas y vayan al teatro.

EL TALENTO NO TE LO DA NADIE. ESO ES ALGO QUE VOS TRAES A LA MESA. NO SE ENSENA!

LO QUE SE ENSENA ENTRE OTRAS COSAS ES:  A PERFECCIONAR, DESARROLLAR Y DISCIPLINAR, ESE TALENTO QUE TRAEMOS.

ASI COMO UN ATLETA PUEDE TENER CONDICIONES PARA SER EL MEJOR ....IGUAL TENDRA QUE ENTRENAR Y ENTRENAR DURO PARA PODER MANEJAR SU CUERPO Y PODER LLEGAR A SU META FINAL. 

USTEDES TENDRAN QUE HACER LO MISMO. FOCALIZARSE Y TENER DISCIPLINA ES LO QUE LOS SEPARARA DE LOS DE MAS.

LA LEY DEL MENOR ESFUERZO, NO TE LLEVARA LEJOS EN ESTA CARRERA.

SUERTE:  Para que negar que un poco de suerte siempre viene bien. Pero no se equivoquen, la suerte sola,  no te llevara a donde queries llegar. 

En cuanto al éxito: El éxito es poder hacer lo que te da felicidad y te hace sentir completo. No crean que si no están trabajando en una obra en la calle corrientes o no están en la tele o en una película de gran presupuesto no son exitosos y no deben decir que son actores. El éxito y la fama  son dos cosas diferentes y no significan lo mismo. SEPAN DISTINGUIR LA DIFERENCIA, es muy importante!!!!.

SEAN REALES....NO INTENTEN SER OTRA PERSONA.

NUNCA SE PREGUNTARON PORQUE VAN A VER REPETIDAMENTE A LOS MISMOS ACTORES? A TODOS NOS HA PASADO DE IR A VER UNA PELICULA SIMPLEMENTE PORQUE ESTA "ESE" ACTOR. 

VAN PORQUE LA HONESTIDAD Y EL CORAJE QUE TIENEN DE MOSTRARNOS SU VERDAD NOS CONMUEVE Y CAUTIVA. 

 LES CREEMOS Y NOS GUSTA VER ESO.  

ESA CONEXION CON LA VERDAD  HACE POSIBLE VER UNA PELICULA DE GENTE AZUL,  CON TRES PIERNAS,  VIVIENDO EN EL PLANTEA VENUS Y CREERNOS QUE ESA REALIDAD EXISTE Y ES ASI!

Si bien aprendemos por imitacion, encuentren su propia verdad. Si pasamos por la vida solo imitando a "Al Pacino" o "Meryl Streep" solo seremos una versión pobre del original. NADIE QUIERE ESO. Encontra tu propia fuente de luz!
Por ultimo les digo:

 Estudien! Tengan una técnica! Investiguen que ofrece el mercado y eligan lo que mas va con su personalidad y sus necesidades. Hay muchos maestros y muchas maneras de encarar los estudios. LO BUENO ES LO QUE TE SIRVE. Muchas veces es una mezcla de distintas disciplinas. Arma tu propia caja de herramientas. PERO ESTUDIA!! ES MUY IMPORTANTE.

SOS TU PROPIO INSTRUMENTO. SI NO TE CONOCES, NO TENES NADA PARA BRINDAR.

Si los abogados estudian de por vida porque las leyes cambian....
Si los médicos estudian de por vida porque la medicina avanza....
Porque no vas a estudiar vos que cambias con cada experiencia que la vida te suma y de eso sacas para darle vida a tus personajes????  En el trabajo del actor no solo esta el elemento creativo sino el instrumental. No sos el mismo que fuiste hace un ano ni el mismo que serás dentro de 5! PENSALO!

some thoughts.....

I recently came back from New York and started thinking about what I usually tell my students about talent, being prepared and being lucky.

We are all original. We might share "similarities" like names, hair color, eye colors, height, fashion styles, food choices,  etc... But there is no one like us in the world... but us.

We are like our fingerprint "ONE OF A KIND". That my friend is what you have to show the world. When it comes down to an audition or showing who you are, you have to do just that... SHOW WHO YOU ARE. What makes you shine? What do people see when you walk into a room? What makes you unforgettable? These are things you should know about yourself because those things will set you apart from everyone else who might share "similarities" with you.

TRUST:. A very important word. You must TRUST yourself. If you know who you are and what sets you apart than you can go and show it. If you don't believe in yourself...NO ONE WILL.

BEING PREPARED: You have to be prepared for the life you want to live. LUCK IS WHEN PREPERATION MEETS OPPORTUNITY.  Take classes, develop your talent. Study, observe, read, watch movies, see theater. NO ONE WILL TEACH YOU TALENT. that is something you bring to the table. But just like an athlete who has conditions to be the best, he or she still has to train and train hard.

LUCK: Well.... we all need a little bit of that. But that alone will not get you were you need to be. So don't stay at home waiting for luck to come knocking at your door. Go out there and get what you want. AND... remember this........ doing what you love, what you are really passionate about is not synonymous with being famous. Don't feel that if you are not working in a BIG BUDGET movie you have not succeeded. Don't feel that if you are not famous then you are not successful. Don't feel that if you are not 20 it is now too late for you. Don't feel that  you have to look like a model to make it.... because that  IS NOT TRUE.      All these things are NOT TRUE!!

Success is being able to do what what you love. SUCCESS and FAME do not mean the same thing. There are people who are just famous for being famous and have no specific talent. There are also those who are very successful at what they do..... but are not known or as they say "Famous". 
UNDERSTAND the difference, this is very important!

BE HONEST AND BE REAL...... DON'T TRY TO BE ANYONE ELSE.

DO YOU KNOW WHY WE LOVE THE ACTORS WE LOVE AND WANT TO SEE THEM OVER AND OVER AGAIN? BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE COURAGE TO SHOW US WHO THEY REALLY ARE AND WE LIKE THAT....

IF YOU GO THROUGHOUT LIFE JUST IMITATING THOSE YOU ADMIRE YOU WILL BECOME A "POOR MANS VERSION OF THOSE YOU LIKE".

I KNOW THAT IT IS NO ONES WISH TO BE A POOR MANS VERSION OF "AL PACINO" O "MERYL STREEP".

BE YOU AND KNOW YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH.

AND BY ALL MEANS HAVE A CRAFT. INVESTIGATE WHAT IS OUT THERE AND FIND THE SYSTEM THAT BEST WORKS FOR YOU. THERE IS ALOT OF TEACHERS OUT THERE AND MANY TECHNIQUES......FIND WHAT YOU LIKE AND START TRAINING...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT....
