EL ARTE DE ACTUAR

LOS ACTORES SON VIAJEROS DE EXPERIENCIAS. Ser actor es un viaje personal hacia las emociones de todo tipo de personajes. Esto es el PLACER de actuar. Cada actor tiene su propio camino por recorrer dentro de su instrumento . Nuestro Instrumento se encuentra en constante cambio. Esto nos compromete a buscar nuestra verdad en forma constante. COMO ACTOR PROFESIONAL VOS SOS TU PROPIO INSTRUMENTO. Que significa esto? Significa que tienes la obligación de conocerte y de saber como funciona. Más afinado esté tu instrumento más profesionalmente podrás tocarlo. Podrás atraer la vida emocional que necesitas, podrás creer la historia y permitirte la experiencia de transitarlo. La verdad es una parte integral del arte. La práctica de la expresión emocional, el tener una técnica, el conocer tus pensamientos, tus creencias y tu niño es parte de un entrenamiento completo.

Subpersonality work: APHRODITE/DON JUAN

 I talked to you about the importance of being connected to your Magical Child.

 Another subpersonality which is very important for an actor and for anybody for that matter, is your Aphrodite and Don Juan. This is your sexual energy. It’s a very potent energy. It’s that energy that makes you walk into a room and be noticed. It Gives you presence. It’s the energy that you feel when you’re comfortable in your own skin and feel great about yourself. It has nothing to do with Beauty, hair color, eye color, weight, height, body type or what you have on. It’s an energy that comes from within. Beauty standards change all the time and if you don’t believe me let’s look back in history for example to the Renaissance era. What was considered beautiful then is very different from todays criteria. This energy, aphrodite/don juan has to do with something deeper, that goes far beyond the mere physical aspect.

As I tell my students when I do Subpersonality Workshops, this has nothing to do with sex. I clarify this because when we talk about Aphrodite or Don Juan people usually relate it to sex. Let’s put it this way, it’s not about sex but being connected to that energy could surely help you in that area as well. 

WE ARE ENERGY. That which flows from us. This is what ultimately will make us attractive, interesting and memorable or completely forgettable. It impowers you and makes you invincible. YES, EVEN IF YOU ARE WEARING A JOGGING AND NO MAKE UP!

What do you know about your aphrodite/ Don Juan? Do you know what music makes them be present? What perfume they like? What food turns them on? Why don't you take some time to get to know this part of you this year. You will not regret it. 

Being comfortable in your skin and having this energy present will get you jobs, will make you have a great audition, will make you successful in any event etc. It’s a beautiful energy and a very positive one for anybody no matter their profession. 

For an actor it’s fundamental to know all these aspects that form your personality because the more you know yourself the more honest your work will be. Your emotions will come from a real place and will express themselves freely and in an honest fashion. We have many subpersonalities. To know them is to create an impressive tool box that we can use for the creation of our characters. 

The Morris Acting Technique is all about being honest and being real. As Eric Morris put on the title of his most famous book “NO ACTING PLEASE”.

Subpersonality work: MAGICAL CHILD

Your magical child is fundamental in the creation of your characters. In getting into the believability of everything you have to do. It’s such a precious part of your creative process. This is part of the work we do in our craft. We call this part of our craft, subpersonality work. 

Do you know where your magical child is? Is he/she close? Your magical child is the part of you that will experiment and will just jump in. This is a very positive, creative and energetic energy. Everything is possible. AS ACTORS we need this energy very close. 

MY MAGICAL CHILD IS NAMED JACKITAS. SHE IS VERY PRESENT IN MY DAILY LIFE. She is magical and positive and very creative. I adore her and take good care of her. She gives my life light, energy, laughter and the understanding that there are no limits but those we create for ourselves. 

 Why don’t you take time and find yours. Take he/she out for an icecream, or a movie? Play and let them be creative. Let them choose what clothing to wear. Let them chose your hairstyle for the day. Start 2018 taking care of this fundamental part of your being. YOUR MAGICAL CHILD IS YOUR BEST FRIEND AND AN  ESSENTIAL CREATIVE TOOL FOR YOUR ACTOR!!!

Se abren las inscripciones para el curso anual 2018

FELIZ 2018

Este año ofreceremos dos cursos anuales que empezarán en Marzo. 

El martes 6 de marzo empezara el curso de los martes. Horario de 19:00 a 22:00. Fecha: Marzo a Diciembre. 

Los jueves a partir del 8 de Marzo empezará el curso para alumnos avanzados. En este momento el curso de los jueves se encuentra sin vacantes ya que los cupos se han llenado previo a esta publicidad, pero pueden anotarse en una lista de espera. 

Para el curso de los martes las vacantes se abren el lunes 15 de Enero. Las clases son personalizadas, se trabaja con grupos chicos y por ende el cupo es limitado.
