THE MORRIS TECHNIQUE FOR COMPANIES AND THEIR EMPLOYEES

For those companies who are thinking of using this technique as a tool for motivation,   to better the communication between your employees,.... etc.  Here  are a few things you should keep in mind: 

Emotional intelligence. We function as a unit we can’t expect to ignore our emotional life thinking that we can still function intellectually without a hitch. The division is impossible. 

The downside of technology  We are living in an age where technology has taken over a big part of our day to day yet although we feel we are more connected with the world around us we  find ourselves more and more. disconnected amongst ourselves. People have lost the ability to connect and talk face-to-face looking at each other‘s eyes. We now see people hiding behind screens, chatting on their phones, sending emojis that summarize their feelings,   using Twitter or uploading photos on Facebook or  instagram. People seem more interested in letting the world know where they are and who they are eating with, than actually  enjoying their meal with the person there with. WE ARE DISCONNECTED!

We are the sum of everything we have lived through,  the good and the bad. All of those experiences make us who we are. We cannot function correctly if we don’t understand our strengths  as well as our weaknesses.

Empathy . To be able to connect with the person in front of you and have the ability to feel empathy could make the difference between a successful negotiation or making a mistake where there’s no turning back. It gives us the possibility of putting ourselves in someone else’s shoes and understanding their needs. Having the capacity of empathy is very important for every human being and it’s even more important when it comes to doing business.

Emotional blocks. It has long been proven that what we ignore doesn’t magically go away. It’s like wanting to hide the sun with out  thumb,  it’s only an optical illusion. Everything we ignore will come back and paralyze us. 

When we are happy our energy levels are up, we attract positive things into our lives,  we work better and  we relate better.

 On the other hand when we are upset or depressed our energy level is low and negative,  we attract negative things into our lives  and people tend to avoid us. It’s very hard to be able to be successful in a business if we have this type of energy that is dominating our day to day. 

We have to work on our emotional blocks. We have to remember we are not machines,  we are people. This means that we will all have good days and bad days. Situations that affect us and therefore will affect our work and our work environment. We have to pay attention to our emotional life so our work environment is a good one. 

We have an obligation of knowing who we are. Our weaknesses and our strengths. If you don’t believe in yourself,  it’s very hard for anyone else too. To know yourself is to live a fuller life. This technique has to do with knowing yourself. We give you the tools to understanding who you are and how you function.
